... about first love...The Absolution of Anthony (1997). Anthony is a good Catholic boy who lusts for Joey, a handsome guy next door who loves to play basketball. Anthony stares at him each time he sees Joey playing with other hunky friends and takes that sexual drive home and tries to have phone sex with the neighborhood boys and ends up talking to the community priest.

... longing and frustration...En Malas Compañías (2000). The incredibly cute and cocky 16-year-old Guillermo cruises the bathroom of shopping malls on a regular basis. Well versed in the art of the cruising, the boy has little trouble satisfying his desires with his daily partner of choice in any available stall. One day, Guillermo was arrested when caught with hunky Asier doing the act and his parents are asked to pick him up since he is a minor. The setting is a maze where men wander in search of the perfect lover - even only for a few minutes. Frühstück (2002). Boris has his eye on the wild and irresistible Till, but Till is in constant sexual overdrive, always on the prowl. Touch (2001). The film is a harsh, entirely narrated tale of a young man who was an imprisoned sex slave of an older man. The 16-year old boy tells his poetry-laden story about how he likes to be beaten and fucked. After his rescue and recovery, he is unable to lead a "normal" life, always seeking the violent sex he lived with day and night. Touch is a highly stylized powerful antidote to the Hollywood pablum and standard news media coverage of child abuse.
Take Out (2000). Rory delivers fried chicken while he works his way through high school. He's trying to deal with his coming out whilst horsing around with his hunky straight friend at the restaurant. When Rory makes a delivery to a huge Victorian house he meets a handsome middle-aged man who may be coming on to him.
... just between the boys...Postmortem (2005). Two ex-lovers meet after years apart to examine the painful break up and what they should do next. Will a reconciliation follow?
Shakespeare's Sonnets (2005). Harvard, 1948: Sebastian cares about arts, literature and his friend, Aaron, who appears to be heading to the altar with his childhood sweetheart Annie. This short is based on a novel of the same name.

Build (2004). An architecture student quits his studies in order to support his alcoholic mother by hustling. The sexual longing depicted is startling in its reality.
Rock Bottom (2002). A lonely writer and a young street hustler find themselves in a sometimes tender, sometimes tense game of trust. After a night of drugs, sex, games, and deception, it is clear they need each other. Is it true love, or have they both hit rock bottom? This short is impeccably acted by the lead characters.
Gold (2005). An aging artist who is losing his vision employs a drug-addicted street hustler to paint his paintings for him in a mutual quest for salvation. Gorgeously acted and written, this was our favorite short from the 2005 film festival circuit.
