Antonia (Margherita Buy) and Massimo (Andrea Renzi) are married for more than ten years, live in a beautiful residential villa on the outskirts of Rome and are a happy couple. Massimo died suddenly in a car accident. Antonia sinks into complete mourning, assisted by her mother Veronica (Erika Blanc) and their Filipina housekeeper Nora (Edilberta Caviteno Bahia). Die beiden freunden sich an und verbringen ihre Zeit mit Wettkämpfen, Rumhängen, Videos schauen und nächtlichem Versteckspiel. Dabei erproben sie die Spielräume des Miteinanders zwischen cooler Distanz und intimer Nähe. Doch aus der Nähe entsteht auch die Gefahr, einander zu verletzen.
Johannes and Marco are both adolescents but extremely diverse: the former is good-natured whilst the latter is naturally daring. The two become very close friends and spend time hanging out, competing, watching videos and playing overnight. They test the scope of their interaction between cool distance and intimate proximity but up close is a danger of hurting one another, both physically and emotionally.

Circuit (2001)
A man hoping to move out of the closet falls into a trap of drug-fueled hedonism in this cautionary drama. John (Jonathan Wade Drahos) is a police officer from a small town who is forced to leave his career behind when it is discovered that he's gay. Hoping to find more tolerant surroundings, John moves to West Hollywood and rents an apartment with Nina (Kiersten Warren), an old friend from his high school days. One night, John attends a party where he meets Hector (Andre Khabazzi), an attractive hustler with whom he quickly strikes up a relationship. Hector is a regular on the L.A. party circuit, and John soon falls in with him, but the endless barrage of music, drugs, and anonymous sex proves more than John can handle, and he soon develops a dangerous dependence on amphetamines.

Mauvais Genres (2001) Transfixed
Bo Ancelin (Robinson Stévenin), jeune homme qui ne se voit, ne se comprend et ne s’habille qu’en femme, tombe amoureux de son nouveau voisin, Johnny (Stéphane Metzger). Mais ce dernier, qui se veut un « dur », n’a que faire de ses avances, auxquelles il ne répond que par le mépris et la méchanceté. Bo est le fils d’un notable poursuivi pour pédophilie. Le policier chargé de l’enquête voudrait bien obtenir son témoignage, qui confirmerait celui qu’il a déjà donné sept ans auparavant, étant enfant, et que la justice avait négligé. Mais une autre affaire vient perturber ce petit monde : des prostituées sont retrouvées assassinées et mutilées, et parmi elles, des amies ou connaissances de Bo. Cette dernière (parlons d’elle au féminin, puisque c’est le souhait du personnage) va passer du rôle de témoin à celui de suspect et même d’enquêteur, cherchant à trouver un fil conducteur dans cette affaire compliquée qui semble prendre ses racines une quinzaine d’années plus tôt.
Bo Ancelin (Robinson Stévenin) is a young man who sees himself as a woman and falls in love with his new neighbour, Johnny (Stéphane Metzger). However, Johnny only reciprocated Bo’s advances with sarcasm and nastiness. On the other hand, Bo is the son of a notable paedophile being investigated by the authorities. They want Bo’s additional testimony to follow up the allegation he made seven years before which was kind of neglected by them. In the meantime, prostitutes are found slaughtered and mutilated, and among them, are friends or acquainted with Bo. This time Bo becomes the prime suspect which he will investigate himself to clear his name and later found out that the scrupulous murders has something to do with an incident that took place fifteen years earlier.

Giorni (2001)
Claudio (Thomas Trabacchi), dirigente di banca, ha trentacinque anni e convive con Dario (Davide Bechini). Sieropositivo ormai da dieci anni, la sua vita è scandita dagli orari di assunzione dei medicinali e dalle visite di controllo, così come dagli allenamenti in palestra, dal lavoro e dal rapporto con Dario. Per motivi di lavoro Dario si sta trasferendo a Milano e Claudio ha deciso di seguirlo. Una sera Claudio incontra Andrea (Riccardo Salerno), un ragazzo con cui aveva avuto un incontro occasionale qualche tempo prima. Andrea è giovane, allegro, ha profondi occhi azzurri e l'attrazione che Claudio sente per lui è assolutamente particolare. Claudio riassapora la leggerezza della vita insieme ad Andrea, che vede la malattia di Claudio come qualcosa di lontano, tanto che ha con lui rapporti sessuali non protetti. Quando il momento del trasferimento di Dario è arrivato, Claudio si rifiuta di andare a Milano. Torna a cercare Andrea che scopre ammalato di una banale influenza.

HIV positive for ten years, Dario's life is bound by many schedules... taking medication, his monthly medical examination, training and exercises, his work and his long-term relationship with Dario. When Dario is being transferred to Milan, Claudio decides to join him but one evening, Claudio meets Andrea (Riccardo Salerno), a young man whom he has already casually met in the past. He is young, joyful and has attractive deep blue eyes that appeals so much to Claudio and starts cohabitating with him to the point of not using precautions during sex. On the day when Claudio is supposed to move to Milan with Dario, he suddenly refuses in favour of being with Andrea whom he discovers ill of banal influence. Claudio's certainties shatter...

Endgame (2001)
A moody, stylish and sex-charged English thriller about Tom (Daniel Newman), a rent boy who is kept by George Norris (Mark McGann), a sado-masochistic gangster. Tom is kept in high style in a London flat filled with pop art and a bedroom deco set up, not only for sex, but also for blackmail with a hidden camera focused on the red silk bedsheets. Tom is being sucked down into a nasty scheme involving drugs, money and protection by Norris' connection with a crooked gay cop Dunston (John Benfield). Things turn nasty rather quickly in this fast-paced thriller as we glimpse scenes of Tom being beaten by his boss and sent in to a bar as part of a scheme to rough up the owner. As a way to introduce some sanity into his dark and abusive life, Tom befriends a straight American couple downstairs, Max & Nikke Bergman (Corey Johnson & Toni Barry) and is invited to dinner at their flat. When Tom returns to his flat, Norris starts a jealous spat with his boy and Norris is accidentally killed whilst forcing the boy for sex.

On the Bus (2001)
Los Angeles filmmaker Dustin Lance Black chartered a bus to attend the annual Burning Man Festival, an alternative culture event in the Nevada desert, and made the trip along with six gay friends in their late teens and early twenties. He teams up with William Kaufman who is the producer of the project. Black brought along a camera to record the trip for posterity, and On the Bus is a documentary that chronicles the misadventures of Black and his traveling companions on the road, among them Charles Kinsley, a former exotic dancer who now waits tables while he tries to get his acting career off the ground; Jason Webb, a former Midwesterner who now makes his living as a porn star; Jimmy Sjodin, a Swedish Olympic diver; and Damon Intrabartolo, a music composer. On the Bus was initially commissioned as a multi-part reality series for the Digital Entertainment Network, an online film and video site; when DEN went out of business, Black reshaped his footage into its current form as a feature-length documentary.
