Antonia (Margherita Buy) e Massimo (Andrea Renzi) sono sposati da più di dieci anni, vivono in una bella villetta nella periferia residenziale di Roma e sono una coppia felice. Massimo muore all'improvviso in un incidente di macchina. Antonia sprofonda in un lutto totale, assistita dalla madre Veronica (Erika Blanc) e dalla domestica filippina Nora (Edilberta Caviteno Bahia). Antonia non riesce a riprendersi, non va a lavoro, trascura le amiche e le colleghe, si chiude nel suo dolore. Antonia (Margherita Buy) and Massimo (Andrea Renzi) are married for more than ten years, live in a beautiful residential villa on the outskirts of Rome and are a happy couple. Massimo died suddenly in a car accident. Antonia sinks into complete mourning, assisted by her mother Veronica (Erika Blanc) and their Filipina housekeeper Nora (Edilberta Caviteno Bahia). Antonia fails to recover, does not go to work, neglects her friends and colleagues, imprisoned herself in pain until she discovers by chance that Massimo had a lover (Michele - Stefano Accorsi) for seven years...

Claudio (Thomas Trabacchi), dirigente di banca, ha trentacinque anni e convive con Dario (Davide Bechini). Sieropositivo ormai da dieci anni, la sua vita è scandita dagli orari di assunzione dei medicinali e dalle visite di controllo, così come dagli allenamenti in palestra, dal lavoro e dal rapporto con Dario. Per motivi di lavoro Dario si sta trasferendo a Milano e Claudio ha deciso di seguirlo. Una sera Claudio incontra Andrea (Riccardo Salerno), un ragazzo con cui aveva avuto un incontro occasionale qualche tempo prima. Andrea è giovane, allegro, ha profondi occhi azzurri e l'attrazione che Claudio sente per lui è assolutamente particolare. Claudio riassapora la leggerezza della vita insieme ad Andrea, che vede la malattia di Claudio come qualcosa di lontano, tanto che ha con lui rapporti sessuali non protetti. Quando il momento del trasferimento di Dario è arrivato, Claudio si rifiuta di andare a Milano. Torna a cercare Andrea che scopre ammalato di una banale influenza.

Claudio (Thomas Trabacchi), a manager in the bank, is thirty five and lives together with Dario (Davide Bechini). HIV positive for ten years, Dario's life is bound by many schedules... taking medication, his monthly medical examination, training and exercises, his work and his long-term relationship with Dario. When Dario is being transferred to Milan, Claudio decides to join him but one evening, Claudio meets Andrea (Riccardo Salerno), a young man whom he has already casually met in the past. He is young, joyful and has attractive deep blue eyes that appeals so much to Claudio and starts cohabitating with him to the point of not using precautions during sex. On the day when Claudio is supposed to move to Milan with Dario, he suddenly refuses in favour of being with Andrea whom he discovers ill of banal influence. Claudio's certainties shatter...
