Soon-to-be officially united Robbie Levinson (Seth Peterson) and Trey McCoy (Brian J. Smith) suddenly encounter intolerance and hostility at the hands of their new neighbour, Chris Boyd (Chad Donella), the son of Pastor Boyd (Bruce Davison). One evening when Trey walks their dog to a nearby park, he was severely attacked and beaten with a baseball bat. Immediately Robbie declares Chris's name as the possible suspect informing the authorities of the verbal threat he had received from him prior to the incident. As Chris has an alibi supported by his "respected" family, the authorities turn their suspicion to Robbie for what he will inherit being the sole benefactor of Trey's insurance amounting to half a million. With no support from them, Robbie and Trey's grieving mother Barbara (Cindy Pickett) execute a desperate and dangerous plan that uncovers secrets that will turn many lives upside-down and ultimately bring the perpetrator to justice, regardless of whatever consequence.
