Ecki (Maximilian Brückner) ist ein junger Mann, der in dem kleinen Dorf Boldrup auf dem Land lebt und in seiner Freizeit der Torhüter des örtlichen Fußballvereins ist. Als Ecki eines Tages bei einem wichtigen Aufstiegsspiel versagt, ist er der Loser des Dorfes und als ob es damit noch nicht genug wäre, outet er sich an diesem Abend auch noch versehentlich. Es dauert nicht lange, bis die Nachricht, dass Ecki schwul ist, im ganzen Dorf herum ist. Er wird aus der Mannschaft ausgeschlossen, darf sich dumme Sprüche anhören und hat auch noch Probleme mit seinen Eltern (Dietmar Bär und Saskia Vester), die nichts von Eckis Homosexualität wussten. Irgendwann reicht es ihm und er fordert seine Ex-Mannschaft und besonders seinen Erzrivalen Udo (Carlo Ljubek) heraus. Er wettet, dass er es in vier Wochen schafft, eine schwule Fußballmannschaft zusammen zu stellen und mit ihr die Dorfmannschaft zu besiegen. Gesagt, getan! Er zieht zu seiner Schwester Susanne (Lisa-Marie Potthoff) nach Dortmund und geht mit ihr in der Szene auf die Suche nach passenden Männern. Doch die Suche ist schwieriger als gedacht...
Ecki (Maximilian Brückner) is a young man from the small village of Boldrup on the countryside. During spare time, he plays as goalkeeper for the local soccer association. One day in an important playoff, his team loses the game and gets blamed for not being able to save a free kick. On top of his so-called big mistake, he was caught in an act of homosexuality and therefore, was kicked out of his team. Shocked by the association's immediate decision, he challenges his ex-team, his archrival Udo (Carlo Ljubek), in particular, that in four-week time he would build his own gay football team and bets that his team will defeat them. Soon the whole village knows about Ecki being gay and worse, his parents (Dietmar Bär and Saskia Vester) know nothing about his homosexuality. Then he moves to Dortmund and seeks help from his sister Susanne (Lisa-Marie Potthoff) and together they went around the city to scout for suitable members of the team. The search is more difficult than how he thought it would go...
